The mission of Irving Insurance Agency, Inc., is to provide the citizens
of the state of Michigan with professional service, of the highest
quality, for their personal and commercial insurance needs.
We stress the highest standards of integrity and personal attention to the needs of our clients and insurance carriers alike. We have achieved great success, and will continue that success, because we treat our customers with the same respect and consideration that we expect from others. Further, we shall always focus on selling the total account for our client, while providing personal and accurate attention to detail. We take pride in our community, the quality of our staff, and the knowledge of the insurance industry they possess. As insurance professionals we will always place our clients needs as our first priority. We will fill these needs with the most appropriate and well-rounded insurance product possible.
History:
The agency was founded in 1963 by its original owner Erwin L. Irving, and at that time provided only non-standard auto and motorcycle insurance products to its customers. During that period growth was average and limited, due to the narrow market base, limited number of insurance carriers, and insurance products offered. That period ended in August of 1979, when the agency was acquired by the current owner and president, Charles R. VanDuren.
Mr. VanDuren, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University and three years prior insurance industry experience, purchased the agency and set it on an entirely new course.
Today, the agency serves the insurance needs of over 6,000 customers throughout the state of Michigan. We take great pride in our staff and associates.
We now provide insurance products to our customers through 22 major, national and regional insurance companies, offering our clients wonderful insurance products, at exceptionally low prices.
People are our business, insurance is a constantly changing consumer product, and we respond and adapt quickly to the changes in our industry to benefit our customers.
